Technology and Hygiene at Heerya: No Shortcuts
Our sterilisation process, equipment, and clinic cleanliness standards — open for any patient to walk in and verify for themselves.
Every instrument, every time
Ultrasonic cleaning
After each use, instruments are scrubbed and placed into an ultrasonic cleaner to remove all visible debris.
Drying and pouching
They are then dried and sealed into individual sterilisation pouches.
Autoclave at 134°C for 30 minutes
The pouches go into an autoclave at 134°C for 30 minutes — the highest-standard pressure steam sterilisation.
Opened at the chair, in front of you
The pouch is opened in front of you, at the chair, just before your procedure. If the pouch is not sealed, the instrument does not touch the patient.
Single-use items — needles, gloves, suction tips, certain orthodontic wires — are used once and discarded. There is no reuse of anything meant to be disposable.

Why we are transparent about this
Dental anxiety in India is almost entirely rooted in hygiene worry. Patients do not fear the procedure — they fear the clinic cutting corners on cleanliness. At Heerya, hygiene is not a selling point. It is the minimum bar. We are open about it because we would rather earn your trust by showing you than claim it in a brochure.
Questions about hygiene and sterilisation
Yes. Walk in any time during clinic hours. The front desk will show you the sterilisation room, the autoclave, and the pouching system. We would rather you see it than take our word for it.
Every sterilisation pouch has a date marker that changes colour only when it reaches the correct temperature for the correct time. Your dental assistant can show you the date mark before opening the pouch.
Yes. Each patient gets a fresh set of sterilised instruments opened at their chair. Nothing is reused between patients. Single-use items (gloves, needles, suction tips) are discarded after every patient.
